A pleasant summer should lead to better driving conditions for Kirksville residents this fall.
The Airport and Transportation Commission met Tuesday afternoon to discuss the status of street improvements throughout the city. Public Works Director, Alan Griffiths gave the commission a progress report. He told us cooperation from the weather has been a key part of the progress made on this year's construction and paving projects.
"If the weather holds, all the paving work should be finished this week. The concrete contractor continues and his work will last several more weeks, as he has lots of other areas in town he has to work in. They are both working like crazy right now," said Alan Griffiths, Kirksville Public Works Director.
The Airport and Transportation Commission will meet again on September 9th at Kirksville City Hall. Members will be discussing the number of passengers traveling on Cape Air flights each month.
