Over 100 local bikers revved up their engines Sunday morning to support families in need.
The Freedom of Road Riders Local 19 held their annual Toy Run in Kirksville.
Their bikes were lined up early, strapped with toys and food for the Salvation Army.
Starting off from the Maritz Research Center, they wound their way through Kirksville, ending at the Salvation Army with toys in hand.
It was a beautiful day for a bike ride and everyone was glad to give back.
â??We love helping out the community with the food and the toys for the kids for Christmas, and it's a good way to get out on the bikes. It's some wonderful weather we're having today and it helps the Salvation Army out a whole bunch because there's a big need around this time of year, so we love to help out with it,â?? said Terry Smith, President of Freedom of Road Riders Local 19.
In addition to the toys and food, FORR Local 19 made an extra donation of $500 to the Salvation Army.
Watch for them next year, as they rev up their engines again for the annual Toy Run the first weekend of November.
