Rollover crash injures northeast Missouri woman
A Tuesday afternoon rollover crash sent a northeast Missouri woman to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The one-vehicle crash happened at 2 p.m. on Highway 6, three miles east of Green Castle, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver, Joy Fields, 58, of Green City, received moderate injuries and was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville by ambulance.
Investigators said Fields traveled off the right side of Highway 6, then returned to the road, but she then overcorrected.
Her car then traveled off the right side of the roadway again where it overturned, coming to rest on its top.
An Air Evac helicopter was brought to the scene, but emergency crews apparently decided its services were not needed.
It was seen taking off and flying away from the scene.
The highway patrol was assisted by the Adair County Sheriffâ??s Office, Adair County Ambulance, Kirksville Fire Department and Novinger Rural Fire Department.
