Rotary brings a taste of the world to Kirksville

Kirksville Noon Rotary Club held its second annual Taste of the World.

Some Kirksville groups took advantage of the Truman State Homecoming Weekend to hold some fun events for the community.

The Kirksville Noon Rotary Club held its 2nd annual "Taste of the World" event at the Kirksville Arts Association Building Saturday.

The event kicked off with a BBQ lunch that featured pulled pork, grilled meats, desserts, and drinks from all over the world.

The event is held to raise money and provide support for the area's 15 youth projects.

"Here in Kirksville, we're supporting activities at the high school with scholarships, sending students to leadership youth camps, bringing in youth exchange students from around the world to be here in Kirksville during 9 months of the school year.Those activities, we're supporting," said Event Chairman Mark Burger.

The event also highlighta the internationality Rotary has with groups across the globe.

Taste of the world also featured live entertainment and a silent auction.
