Rotary Club of Kirksville honors the late David Hall

Rotary Club of Kirksville honors the late David Hall with its Four-Way Test Award. It was presented to Hall's widow, Laurie Hall.

Wednesday was a day filled with sadness and fond memories for the Rotary Club of Kirksville.

The group gathered at the Nazarene Church in Kirksville for its noon lunch and meeting to remember and honor one of its own.

The late David Hall, Director of Kirksville Regional Airport, was a member of the Rotary Club since 2006 and played a vital role in the organization until the very end. He lost his four-year fight with cancer last month. Hall was 53.

Rotary members and Hall's close friends, Randy Smith and Craig Shorten, shared their thoughts on Hall and just how much they will miss him. "He was always so generous, kind and giving. He always had a huge smile on his face. He never saw the glass half-empty, the glass was always half-full. Thank you David," Smith said.

"The way David lived...that's why we are here thinking and talking about him today," Shorten said.

At the meeting, Hall's widow, Laurie Hall, was presented with the club's annual Four-Way Test Award in memory of her late husband.
