Sales Tax Holiday helps save money when back to school shopping
Parents and students are always looking to save money when it comes to back to school shopping. The annual Sales Tax Holiday in the Show-Me-State is helping those shoppers do just that.
That sales tax holiday began at midnight and will run until midnight on Sunday. Certain back-to-school purchases will be exempt from sales tax for this time period only. Some of those purchases include articles of clothing valued at $100 or less, school supplies under $50, or software for a computer priced under $350.
Not all cities and counties in Missouri are participating in the sales tax holiday. A complete list of those not participating can be found on the Missouri Department of Revenue's website. Click here to see which cities and counties are not participating in the Sales Tax Holiday.
