SE Iowa men arrested for multi-county burglary spree
SIGOURNEY, Iowa —
Two southeast Iowa men are in jail after being arrested for burglary.
Jesse Dale Peska, 31, of Delta, and Colby Lee Finck, 25, of Drakesville, each face two counts of burglary and one count of theft.
According to the Mahaska County Sheriff's Office, the allegations stem from a series of thefts in rural Mahaska County on January 5. On that day, two homes were broken into, and a vehicle was stolen from a third property.
Mahaska County deputies worked with the Keokuk County Sheriff's Office on the investigation.
The two men were suspected of similar activity in Keokuk County.
In fact, the stolen vehicle and other property from the Mahaska County break-ins were recovered in Keokuk County.
The two men are being held in the Keokuk County Jail while waiting to make their initial appearance in Mahaska County.
