Search warrant leads to two meth suspects

Two Kirksville residents were arrested on meth charges after a search warrant was executed Tuesday.

Adair County Sheriff Robert Hardwick says his office along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol served the warrant at an apartment on East Illinois Street in Kirksville. The sheriff said officers found a meth lab in the basement of the home.

James Shea, 30, and Lynnette Roberts, 23, both of Kirksville, were taken into custody from the apartment.

Roberts and Shea are each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine near a school and use of meth paraphernalia.

Shea faces an additional charge of keeping a public nuisance.

They are each held on $100,000 cash-only bond. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for July 30.

Sheriff Hardwick says this is the third search warrant executed in the past month by the Adair County Sheriff's Office.
