Serving up breakfast for a good cause
Saturday, the LaPlata Lion's Club was serving up breakfast for a cause.
The hearty pancake, sausage and egg meal was hosted at the LaPlata Elementary School. Members of the lions club tells us they started flipping jacks and frying sausages early this morning, but most importantly they say, they love helping their community.
President of the LaPlata's Lion's Club, Robert Wheeler said the breakfast is will help area projects and organizations within the community.
"The breakfast is a fundraiser for the lion's club, the money will be used to help fund various projects here in the community," Wheeler said.
Marvin Seidt a member of the lions club for 52 years tells us knowing he can help his fellow man and help those in the community is always rewarding.
The money raised from Saturday's breakfast will go toward various community projects, including scholarships among other local organizations.
