Football fans weren't the only ones getting their fix this Sunday.
The Shakespeare Ensemble pleased theatre fanatics with their performance of Ravenscroft in Fairfield Sunday afternoon.
The play is a whodunnit by playwright Don Nigro who graduated from the University of Iowa.
"In a drafty, old house out of a wretched gothic novel hopelessly entangled in a moronic ghost and murder mystery to stupid for the theatre even," said Artistic Director of The Shakespeare Ensemble Steve White.
White said the most important way to prepare for a play like this is to cast properly.
He conceded that he didn't know the Super Bowl was on the same date when booking the event, but that people who are addicted to the Super Bowl wouldn't attend either way.
The play will be moved to Maharishi University of Management's Spade Theatre next weekend.
