Shrimp Tortellini Diablo Pasta

Andrea Greer's Shrimp Tortellini Diablo

Diablo sauce:


â?¢ 1 tablespoon olive oil

â?¢ 1 tablespoon butter

â?¢ 1/2 cup diced onion

â?¢ 2 tablespoons minced garlic

â?¢ 1/3 cup dry vermouth (or dry white wine)

â?¢ 1 28oz can diced tomatoes)

â?¢ 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

â?¢ 1 teaspoon brown sugar

â?¢ 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

â?¢ 1 lemon, cut into wedges

â?¢ ½ cup cream

â?¢ Cheese Tortellini pasta


Add the olive oil and butter to a pan over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the diced onions and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. Next, add the minced garlic and sauté for another 5 minutes. Add the vermouth and allow to simmer for about a minute. Add the tomatoes, red pepper flakes and brown sugar then simmer for another 8 minutes then add cream. Cook off pasta and add to the sauce. You can add shrimp or chicken to this dish also.
