Singing Christmas carols to spread cancer awareness
One Heartland family is spreading some Christmas cheer in memory of a loved one.
Joyce Sharp of Novinger lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in January.
Christmas was her favorite time of the year, so her son Terry along with his wife Theresa, their 7 children and 10 grandchildren decided to sing Christmas carols in her honor and to support on finding a cure. They sang the carols at Twin Pines in Kirksville.
The family sang 5 Christmas songs including "Let It Snow", "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer", and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas."
The family would also like to make this a yearly tradition.
