Coming up on Saturday, May 18th at Thousand Hills State Park is the 30th annual Buddy Bass Fishing Classic. The fishing classic is comprised of two different tournaments. The first is the adult tournament and take off is at 7 am. The second tournament is the kids tourney at 8:30 A.M. that will talk place along the docks and the bank of the lake. The Adult tournament has an $80 buy in fee, but the kids tournament is absolutely free. Even if you donâ??t win the big prize, there are plenty of other chances to win prizes.
â??The bass tournament is cash 100% pay back we pay back 5 places and then the guys throw in 5 bucks a man for a big bass pot. So everything money wise what the fishers put in is what they get back. As far as the kids go, I've got some great sponsors that have helped me out. We'll have free Pepsi and hot dogs for everybody and rods and reels some tents some coolers ya know out door things,â?? said John McConnell Tournament Director.
The price for the adult tournament is $80 and you can sign up at Thousand Hills State Park or at Gold Eagle Distributing. You can sign up the day of the tournament as well before 7 A.M.
