Southeast Iowa man killed in weekend crash
LEE COUNTY, Iowa —
A southeast Iowa man is dead following a weekend crash.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Lee County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Noelle Cosby, 25, of Donnellson, Iowa, was westbound on Highway 2 at mile marker 255 when she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle she was driving went off the road and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
The passenger, Todd Cosby, 35, also of Donnellson, was ejected from the vehicle and died. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Noelle Cosby was transported from the scene to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was wearing a seat belt.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Fort Madison Police Department, Donnellson Fire and Rescue and Lee County EMS.
