Southeast Iowa woman killed in crash with semi
A southeast Iowa woman is dead after her car collided with a tractor-trailer Wednesday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol said the victim is Robin Ann Vos, 51, of Oskaloosa.
Investigators said Vos failed to yield as she was pulling from her driveway on Highway 163 approximately two miles northwest of Oskaloosa.
Her car struck a semi that was pulling a livestock trailer.
The trooper who worked the crash told KTVO Vosâ?? car hit the back end of the tractor.
The tractor-trailer was driven by Bradley Allen Nelson, 27, of Allison, Iowa.
Vos was taken by ambulance to Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa where she was pronounced dead.
The fatal wreck happened just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The investigation into the crash continues.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Mahaska County Sheriff's Office and Mahaska County Fire and Ambulance.
