Stalking charge against Ken Turner dismissed
A Bloomfield, Iowa man won't be tried on a stalking charge.
According to online court records, the stalking case against Ken Turner, 55, was dismissed on Tuesday.
Turner was scheduled to be in court next week for a trial on the felony count. But now, that won't happen.
Judge Lucy Gamon has exonerated Turner's bond and lifted the no contact order against Turner.
The stalking charge against Turner was the result of his arrest last September for sexual misconduct with a minor.
In the days after his arrest, law enforcement alleged that Turner had attempted to harass the juvenile male who had made the allegations.
Turner faced a jury trial earlier this year on those sexual abuse charges, but was acquitted on the felony counts. He was convicted on only two misdemeanor charges.
Next up for Turner, a July sentencing hearing on the misdemeanor convictions.
