Kirksville police responded today to a report from a trash truck driver that items he had just picked up were smoking in his truck.
Turns out the items were meth-making materials, some of which were still actively reacting.
Police located information with the materials that led them straight to the door of two suspects.
Kirksville Police served a search warrant in the 400 block of East Missouri and found more methamphetamine related materials, including finished meth product and marijuana. The suspects were arrested that this location and are on 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.

This is the second recent call to Kirksville police from local trash services regarding active methamphetamine components found among household waste.
