Stolen car from Iowa found in Georgia

      Aaron Stout, 33

A car reported stolen from Monroe County, Iowa has been found in Georgia, and its driver is in jail.

Deputies with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office say that a license plate reader alerted them to a possibly stolen vehicle, so they pulled the car over.

Deputies identified the driver as 33-year-old Aaron Stout from Oskaloosa, and confirmed the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Iowa.

Stout is charged with having a suspended driver's license and theft by bringing stolen property into the state.

A passenger in the vehicle was held for investigative purposes and later released.
