Wed, 22 May 2013 16:49:49 GMT — The City of Kirksville will assist citizens by providing curbside pickup for limbs and brush from the recent storms. Citizens of Kirksville with property impacted by this storm are encouraged to contact their insurance provider prior to beginning any major clean-up efforts on damaged property. Once ready to start removing limbs and brush, citizens may place them curbside for pickup. Large limbs should be cut to a length which can be loaded into a truck, preferably no longer than four feet. The City of Kirksville will begin picking up limbs and brush on Tuesday, May 28. All limbs and branches must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28. City crews cannot pick up trash or demolition materials of any kind including shingles and roofing material. This pick up is ONLY for limbs and branches from the recent storm.Citizens can take branches and brush to the City brush pile located next to the Humane Society on Hwy 6 West at any time.
