Students gathered in the Library Media Center for Thursday's Renaissance Breakfast.
Thu, 17 Oct 2013 17:48:18 GMT — Kirksville High School recognized their student leaders at a breakfast Thursday morning.The Renaissance breakfast, held in the school's media center, was an invitation only event. There were about 65 students in attendance for bagels and coffee, provided by Hy-Vee and Starbucks.Junior Aaron Krusniak received the Renaissance Student Award for his academic and leadership achievements.Krusniak says he feels honored to be this month's recipient, especially because he never knew he'd be chosen.The award was presented by Sergeant First Class Bradley Young. Sergeant Young says he thought the award would be a great incentive for students to take on leadership responsibility, whether in the classroom, during sports or other school-related activities.The award is presented to a different student each month.
