Students standout with industrial creations
OTTUMWA, Iowa —
Students in the Industrial Tech class at Ottumwa High School showcased their final work to their peers on Friday.
Final products included a twist on a fire pit and motorized go-carts.
The two-hour long, five-day a week, class culminated with students entering their projects into the Iowa Industrial Tech Expo, where some of the students placed.
"It's a big 'ol rush getting it done closer to the end," said Ottumwa senior Austin Moore.
Ottumwa High School Industrial Tech teacher Brandon Brooks says he doesn't think all the students will continue with welding, but he believes they will take what they've learned in his class to future endeavors.
