Sullivan County Health Department holds flu clinic

As part of the homecoming celebration in Milan, the Sullivan County Health Department held a free flu clinic on Friday.

It was held at the Senior Center in town with staff on hand to administer the vaccine.

Organizers estimate over 180 people turned out to get the free shot.

This is one of the busiest times of the year for the health department, and a spokeswoman says they're happy to provide the service.

"We thought we had a really good crowd it was a great day for homecoming, we try to do this on homecoming because there's a big crowd out there, we try to do all the students and the parents, that gives them time after the parade to go see it," says Deborah Taylor.
