Sullivan County Road Rock Tax defeated two-to-one
SULLIVAN COUNTY, Mo. —
Voters in one northeast Missouri County overwhelmingly defeated a tax question during a special election on Tuesday.
That election took place in Sullivan County.
Residents were voting on a Special Road Rock Tax.
Sullivan County Clerk Jackie Morris said voters defeated the proposal by just over a two-to-one margin: 639 No votes to 316 Yes votes.
Those results are unofficial and still have to be certified.
