If you are a high school or college student trying to find something to keep you busy over the summer, the city of Kirksville may have something for you.
Since last week, the city has been accepting applications for seasonal summer positions.
Some of the jobs available include softball and baseball officials to work at city parks.
City officials say that having a summer job teaches students responsibilities.
"It's great work experience. It teaches kids they need to show up on time and do a good job. They also get a little spending money for the summer so I'm sure parents would appreciate that as well," said Kirksville Assistant City Manager.
The Kirksville Aquatic Center is also looking for lifeguards to work at the outdoor pool during the summer season.
If you are interested in working these positions or any summer city positions, you can apply in person at the Missouri Career Center on Normal Street in Kirksville or call (660) 627-POOL.
