Suspects in custody after Macon County drug bust
UPDATE: The third suspect in a Macon County drug investigation has now turned himself in to authorities.
Rodney Brown, 48, of Excello, Mo. turned himself in to the Macon County Sheriff's Office Thursday afternoon.
The other two men charged in the incident include Brownâ??s son, Nicholas Brown, 25, of Macon, and Karl Bartholomew, 55, of Macon.
Both of those individuals were arrested Wednesday when officers searched three Macon-area homes.
All three suspects are charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance, but Rodney Brown is facing additional charges including felony possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and stealing property valued at more than $500 but less than $25,000.
All three suspects are still in custody at this time.
One suspect is still at large and two are in custody after another drug bust in Macon County.
According to the Macon County Sheriff's Department, search warrants were executed in three homes in Macon, Mo. and another in southern Macon County this morning.
Marijuana, prescription drugs, and methamphetamines were recovered from the sites.
The two suspects in custody are awaiting charges for production of a controlled substance.
The Macon Police, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and North Missouri Drug Task Force were involved once again, just one week after a round-up in Macon County netted more than a dozen suspects.
The investigation is ongoing as the search for the third primary suspect continues.
