A Wapello County man will remain in jail while he awaits his third murder trial.
In February, Seth Techelâ??s defense appealed a district court ruling that kept his bond at $750,000 cash only.
Online court records indicate the Iowa Supreme Court upheld that ruling last week.
So for now, unless he can post the three quarters of a million dollars bond, Techel will remain in custody.
Techelâ??s third trial is scheduled for a Scott County courtroom in July.
His first two trials ended in hung juries.
Techel was arrested in May 2012 for the murder of his wife Lisa Caldwell -Techel and the coupleâ??s unborn child.
The courtâ??s ruling means that by the time his third trial rolls around, Techel will have spent over two years in jail.Previous stories....Third trial date set for Seth Techel
