Thawing of pipes leads to afternoon fire
Fire crews were called to a house fire in frigid conditions.
Emergency crews were called right around 1:15 Thursday afternoon to the home of Jewel Haskell, at 308 Olive Street in the small town of Gibbs.
The residents of the home were attempting to thaw out frozen pipes, which were located in the back of the home, where the fire originated.
The fire was quickly contained by fire crews, and the only damage was to the back of the home.
Firefighters then began the process of cutting into the back of the home, to assure that no other damage was done.
No injuries were reported at the scene of the fire.
