The American Red Cross calls for blood donations

Efforts to get numbers up in the Adair and Macon County regions continued with a blood drive in Kirksville Saturday.

The drive was held at the Adair County Annex Building in downtown Kirksville.

Doors opened at 11 a.m. and closed at 3 p.m.

Donations through the Red Cross are down approximately 8% over the past 11 weeks, resulting in about 80,000 fewer donations than expected.
