Jeremy Ellis of Macon, Missouri founded a motorcycle club called "The Chauns."
Sunday marked their very first community effort.
Bikers met at the Macon Health Care Center for the "We Ride for Nicole" fundraiser.
Members of the organization and the community took a ride from the health care center to highway 15 north to Shelbina Lake.
They did this to raise money for Nicole Spicer of Macon who is presently in hospice. She is battling colon cancer.
Spicerâ??s most recent dream has been to have a wedding and â??The Chaunsâ?? wanted to make sure this happened for her.
â??Honestly Iâ??ve been pretty stoked for about a month. This is my first planned ride for somebody and I think that it is turning out awesome. Words can't put it into perspective because the way that the community is pulling together and the kind of money we're raising for her is unbelievable,â?? said Ellis.
All riders were charged $20 to participate and $10 for each additional passenger.
The plan for this particular ride was to show up at Nicoleâ??s home with the money raised.
â??The Chaunsâ?? planned to record Nicoleâ??s reaction.
