Thefts reported at a local senior housing complex
Several Queen City, Mo. residents are wondering who is breaking into their homes. During the last few weeks, residents at the senior housing apartments on Main Street have been victims of several break-ins. Schuyler County Sheriff Josh Dole said the thefts happen at different times of the day and randomly throughout the week.
Sheriff Dole said the latest thefts happened as recently as Tuesday. â??They all involve forced entries day and night,â?? Sheriff Dole said. â??The only pattern is that they're taking prescription medication. If there's any cash in the apartment, they're taking the cash and other valuables if it's close by. All we ask is that if anybody has any tips on it or knows anything that they give us a call.â??
Sheriff Dole advises people to install a deadbolt to their door and carry medication with you if possible when you leave your house. He said the investigation is ongoing.
