Accused murderer Seth Techel now knows where and when he will face his third trial for the killing of his pregnant wife.
Judge Daniel Wilson entered a written order Wednesday setting July 14 as the date for the next trial.
The trial will be held in Scott County.
Judge Wilson also denied Techelâ??s request to have his bond reduced to $75,000, so the 23-year-old Agency man will remain in custody unless he can post a $750,000 cash only bond.
Techelâ??s previous two trials, the first in Wapello County, the second, last fall in Henry County, ended in hung juries.
There will be one major change when Techel enters a Scott County courtroom this summer.
Techelâ??s original counsel, Steven Gardner resigned from the case in November, citing health and financial reasons. So the court has appointed a new counsel, Des Moines Attorney Gerald Feuerhelm.
