Thompson Campus Center undergoes renovation
A.T. Still University's Thompson Campus Center is celebrating its "grand re-opening."
The center has undergone several hundred thousand dollars in renovations.
The building was expanded from 1,200 square feet of fitness area to about 3,000 square feet.
There are new free weights, weight machines, as well as new cardio equipment.
The building was built in 1982 and this year's expansion was the most significant change within those 30 plus years of operation.
â??We've added more treadmills, a couple other cardio pieces. Weâ??ve added kettle bells, more dumbbells, a power cage, more cable cross, a large area for floor exercise and besides that, the Thompson Center is open 120 hours a week. We are always trying to be convenient to our students and we're here most of the waking hours,â?? said Dan Martin, Director of Wellness Programs.
All A.T. Still students, employees and spouses of both have full membership at the Thompson Center.
Community rates will vary, but individual rates begin $250.00 per year and family rates begin at $350.00 per year.
