A late-afternoon crash sent three kids to the hospital with injuries Wednesday.
The Ottumwa Fire Department said it happened just before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of 4th and Wapello Streets in Ottumwa when a pickup truck driven by Jeffrey Keep, 51, of Ottumwa rear-ended a small car.
The Ottumwa Police Department said the driver of the car was Naplansa Vlan, 26, also of Ottumwa.
Neither of them were hurt.
Three passengers in the car, children between the ages of seven and 10, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Police would not release their names, but an officer said they were all in good condition Wednesday night.
Jeffrey Keep was issued a citation.
