Three Kirksville residents face federal charges over meth bust
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
Three Kirksville residents who were arrested in March for drug trafficking now face federal charges.
Thomas J. Hill, 36; Michael A. Griffin, 24; and Nicki L. Hill, 29, were charged last week in St. Louis federal court with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. Thomas Hill is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
In March, the three were arrested after a drug bust turned up more than five pounds of methamphetamine, an illegal firearm and a handgun.
The suspects are awaiting transfer to federal authorities in the Adair County jail.
State cases against the trio are still ongoing.
