Three individuals who fled the scene of a traffic stop on May 27, 2014 are now in police custody.
Tuesday evening just after 10:00, Olen James Brown, 42, was taken into custody by the Indianola Police Department. Brown was arrested on a warrant charging him with Second Degree Theft and Interference with Official Acts. Brown was transported to the Wapello County Jail on Wednesday, June 4, where he is currently being held on $5,300 bond.
Around 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Beau Brandi Simpson, 32, was taken into custody by the Ottumwa Police Department. Simpson was arrested on warrants for Pre-Trial Release Violation, Simple Assault and Interference with Official Acts. Simpson is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on $10,600 bond.
Also taken into custody Wednesday morning was Jason Andrew Tobeck, 36. Tobeck was arrested by the Ottumwa Police Department at the same location as Simpson on a warrant for Second Degree Theft. Tobeck has been identified as the third subject who fled in a vehicle from an Ottumwa Police Officer on May 27 causing damage to two garages and a parked vehicle. Tobeck posted bond and was released from jail.
