Three teens and a gun land Macon man in jail
The August arrest of three teens lands a Macon man in jail on a weapons charge.
Christopher A. Beals, 26, is being held in the Macon County Jail charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Beals finds himself in jail, as a result of an investigation that began in mid-August.
According to a news release from Macon Police Chief Steve Olinger, officers arrested three juveniles on Aug. 13 after they were seen breaking into vehicles near West Bourke Street.
At the time of their arrest, the juveniles had stolen property on their persons. As a result of the investigation, officers recovered a stolen handgun. The gun was reported stolen from a vehicle in Macon in July.
As the investigation continued, it was determined that Beals had knowledge and possession of the handgun recovered by police.
Beals was arrested last Friday and remains in custody on a $9,000 cash-only bond.
