Tickets still available for Vice President Biden's event in Ottumwa

Tickets are available at the Organizing For America offices in Ottumwa, Fairfield and Oskaloosa.

Just about a month after a presidential visit in Oskaloosa, Ottumwa is gearing up for Vice President Joe Biden's visit on Tuesday.

Vice President Biden will speak in the Expo Room at the Bridge View Center Tuesday morning. The event is free and open to the public, but you must have a ticket to attend. As of Monday afternoon, tickets are still available at the Organizing for America Offices of Ottumwa, Fairfield and Oskaloosa.

Volunteers at the Ottumwa office said the excitement level is high and people of all political parties will be attending.

"It's really exciting, I mean, we are a crucial state in this election, even if you're undecided, if you don't like Obama, it's a really good idea to go and learn what's going on, really know both sides of the issue," said Cheyenna Clouse, an intern with Obama Fall Organizing Fellowship. "It's a great opportunity for us here in Southeast Iowa."

The office in Ottumwa will be open until 8 p.m. Monday. Doors open at the Bridge View Center at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.
