Authorities believe they have found the weapon used in last weekâ??s murder of a Trenton, Mo. man. Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley says the weapon, a .30 caliber rifle, was found in a field north of Highway 6, near Humphreys, in Sullivan County.
The rifle was found following an anonymous tip called in to the Trenton Police Department saying where the weapon could be found.
Authorities believe the rifle was used by Jameson Read, 24, of Trenton, when he allegedly shot John Vencill to death on July 3.
