Toddler killed after being struck by semi

PUTNAM COUNTY, Mo. —
A two-year-girl was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a tractor-trailer five-and-a-half miles south of Unionville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Madison Roberts, of Unionville, was killed when a semi driven by Scott Sorenson, 51, of Algona, Iowa, struck her.
Just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, the semi was headed north on Highway 5 when it crested a hill and struck Roberts, who was in the roadway.
Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene by Putnam County Coroner Anna Fleshman.
