      Tri-County case: Not Guilty!

Not guilty. That was the decision Tuesday afternoon, by a Macon County jury following a day and a half long trial, in the case against Terry Miller.

Miller is an employee of Tri-County Electric in Schuyler County. Miller was charged with a misdemeanor count of Theft, in connection with the alleged theft of petitions that had been circulated by those opposing a new building being built by Tri-County.

Miller was accused of stealing the petitions, giving them to Tri-County General Manager Dave Ramsey, who is accused of destroying the petitions.

The case was moved to Macon County on a change of venue, it took the jury 20 minutes to come back with the not guilty verdict.

Ramsey is scheduled to go on trial next month on a misdemeanor count of Receiving Stolen Property.
