Next week is Truman Week at Truman State University, and staffers have been preparing for months for move-in day.
Over 1,300 students are moving in Saturday. Most are freshmen and transfer students. Officials say total enrollment is up from last year. Dr. Jack Holcomb says this is his first year on the job, so it's been a bit of a steep learning curve and a little stressful at times, but he says everything should go smoothly tomorrow with the help from co-workers and 600 student workers who have spent the past four months preparing for the big day.
â??Actually some of the students are moving in today,â?? Holcomb said. â??We have some students who are from far away from different parts of the country or even internationally who move in on this day, the day before formal move-in day. Most students move in on Saturday.â??
Residence life staffers will be assisting students with all of their move-in needs between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at their respective residence halls. For more information click here.
