February is Black History Month, and Truman State University students have been learning just why the month is so important.
The Multicultural Affairs Center at Truman has had numerous events going on all month long to get the students involved and teach them the significance of celebrating Black History. The Multicultural Affairs Center brings in a variety of performers and speakers that educate, entertain and inspire students to become engaged in cultural exploration. As seen on 'Good Morning Heartland', Assistant Dean of Multicultural Affairs, Bertha Thomas takes the time to talk about some of the different events that have been going on during the month, and the ways students have been getting involved. The full interview with Thomas can be found above.
