Truman students de-stress at Wellness Center
Just in time for finals week, a new center at Truman State is helping students to de-stress.
The Wellness Center located in the Pickler Memorial Library is a place where students can go to take a break from their studies. The center includes massage chairs and yoga mats, to help students get relaxed to the maximum. Students can also spend time coloring pictures and playing board games.
The center is a place where both students and faculty can relax and learn stress management techniques. Students say that the addition of the Wellness Center is important for the university.
"So many Truman students are dealing with stress, like continuously doing homework all the time, so coming here to relieve that would be very helpful, so it's important to have it," said ReeAnna Winston, a Truman State Student.
If interested in checking out the Wellness Center, it is located in the Pickler Memorial Library. It is open Monday through Thursday 11:3 to 8, and Friday 11:30 to 2:30.
