Sun, 07 Jul 2013 22:05:01 GMT — The Trenton Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on or around July 3rd in the 2300 block of Speedway Avenue. We're told that Trenton Police began investigating a missing person's incident during the evening hours on Friday, July 5th. During the course of the investigation, police were able to determine that a homicide had occurred and subsequently took two men into custody. Their names are not being released at this time, but Chief Wright with the Trenton Police Department says that on Saturday, they recovered a partially submerged motor vehicle in a pond in Sullivan County. The motor vehicle contained the body of a white male homicide victim, and at last check the victim has not been formally or forensically identified.
Assisting in this investigation is the NITRO AFT Task Force, Grundy County and Sullivan County Sheriff's Offices, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Green Hills Assorted Scuba Personnel.
