The United Way of Adair County is expanding its campaign in hopes of fully reaching their goal.
The group has now raised $217,000 which is 87-percent of its $250,000 goal.
United Way Executive Director John Dungan and the campaign board are just amazed on how the community has been so generous.
"We've had a number of new businesses and donors who have stepped up this year to help contribute to the campaign. We're so grateful for that. They've been so generous and so edgar to contribute to the campaign and help the community out. We also have a lot of folks who have been long time supporters who have been very generous. We're grateful for that," Dungan said.
The last day now to make your contribution or pledge is January 31.
Dungan says if the $250,000 goal is reached, by then, the United Way will plan a celebration for the community to say thank you.
