      USDA Rural Development Recognizes Ongoing Partnership

      Dunning recognized the organization's efforts to provide affordable multi-family housing to members of the community.

      USDA Rural Development Missouri State Director, Anita Dunning, stopped by the La Plata Rural Rental Housing Corporation, Friday, August 29.

      Dunning recognized the organization's efforts to provide affordable multi-family housing to members of the community.

      The La Plata Rural Rental Housing Board of Directors received awards, along with the site manager, Chrissi Pipes.

      â??The La Plata Rural Rental Housing Board of Directors have a clear understanding of the connection between housing and the strength of a community,â?? said Director Dunning.

      She also stated, â??They have taken an aggressive attitude in providing affordable, quality housing.â??

      The rental housing corporation in La Plata was established in 1969 with the help of the USDA.

      La Plata Rural Rental Housing built a 60-unit complex as four separate phases.

      The phases are located in different areas of town.

      They are also said to be â??located in good sites and fit well into their surrounding neighborhoods."
