Vacation Bible School ends for kids at First Assembly of God

Thursday ends Vacation Bible School for the First Assembly of God congregation in Kirksville.

The theme for 2012 is "How to shine our light onto the world. "

The bible school started on Monday. Every evening from six to eight, dozens of children came for bible verses, puppet shows, and supper.

Since Thursday was the last night, the kids got to take a ride on the slide. Many of the kids said they are having a ton of fun.

"Whole lot of total awesomeness fun," said Meagan Stewart. 'Why is that?' "Because you not only get to learn about God and the things that..miracles that he's worked and done, but you also get to have fun with your friends and do fun games."

The kids also completed several community service projects throughout the week such as decorating 16 dozen cookies for First Responders, and making snacks for residents of Kirksville Manor Care.
