Wapello County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help in solving arson

The Wapello County Sheriffâ??s Office is asking the public's help for information related to an early Wednesday morning explosion in a garage in Agency, Iowa.

On Wednesday June 4th at 8 a.m., Wapello County Sheriffâ??s personnel reported to 237 W. Main St. in Agency, Iowa and discovered an explosion had occurred sometime during the overnight hours in the interior of a garage damaging a vehicle. Investigators believe it is possible the suspect(s) may have possibly received minor injuries.

Investigators believe that the injuries may not require medical attention but may be visible.

Sheriffâ??s personnel are asking that if you are aware of someoneâ??s skin or hair or facial hair appearing to be singed or unusually discolored please notify the Sheriffâ??s Office at (641)684-4350. The Wapello County Sheriffâ??s Office is being assisted in the investigation by the Ottumwa Fire Departmentâ??s Fire Marshal.
