Wednesday stabbing leads to arrest of Ottumwa woman
Just after 10:30 Wednesday evening, the Ottumwa Police Department received a 911 call reporting a disturbance at a residence on South Market Street. Upon arrival at the residence, officers determined that a subject had been assaulted and stabbed with a knife.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old Kaz Christopher Long, was transported to Ottumwa Regional Hospital.
Following an investigation, Ashley Nicole Weir, 28, of Ottumwa, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Abuse and Willful Injury (Class C Felony).
Weir is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail on $10,000 bond.
