Four people are in custody following a weekend drug bust in Adair County.
Charged are Brandon Murray, 18, and his girlfriend Sabrina Salsberry, 25, both of Novinger. They are charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. They are being held in the Adair County jail under $75,000 cash only bond each.
Also charged are Brandon Murray's mother, Kayela Vittetoe, 39, and her husband William Vittetoe, 36, also of Novinger. They are each charged with providing precursor materials to another with intent of illegal production of a controlled substance. The Vittetoes are also being held in the Adair County jail under $10,000 cash only bond each. According to court papers, sheriff's deputies were called to a Novinger residence concerning a verbal disagreement. When they arrived, Kayela Vittetoe told deputies that her son had meth materials in his room. She wanted her son and his girlfriend out of the residence.
Numerous items used in the manufacture of meth were discovered in the residence. During the investigation the Vittetoes both admitted they had purchased pseudoephedrine knowing it would be used to manufacture meth. All four have been arraigned in Adair County Associate Circuit Court. Their next court date is set for April 10.
